Data deletion: The user may delete session data from their library at any time. Deleting a session removes it from the Virtual ARC General Assessor+ backend.
Data storage and privacy: All sessions created within Virtual ARC General Assessor+ are stored privately and securely on Base44 servers located in the United States. Base44 is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. User data—including inputs, outputs, and account details (name and email address)—are accessible to ResBench solely to operate Virtual ARC General Assessor+ and provide research-related communications. Base44 and ResBench do not use user data or prompts to train any public AI models. ResBench does not share users' data with third parties other than Base44, except as described here. Payments for Virtual ARC General Assessor+ are processed by Stripe. In order to complete payment, Stripe collects and processes the user's email address and payment information in accordance with Stripe's own terms and conditions and privacy policy. ResBench does not store users' payment details. Emails relating to voucher codes are sent via the Resend API. For this purpose, Resend receives only the email address provided by the user during the Stripe checkout process.
Governing law: Virtual ARC General Assessor+'s terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions must be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
Intellectual property: ResBench does not claim ownership over any user-supplied data or content. ResBench retains ownership of all intellectual property in Virtual ARC General Assessor+ itself, including the underlying code, system architecture, templates, skeleton sentences, and any proprietary methods or processes used to generate text-based outputs. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use Virtual ARC General Assessor+ solely for the purposes described on the landing page. Users also grant ResBench a limited licence to process their data as necessary for the Virtual ARC General Assessor+'s functionality, without transferring ownership.
Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResBench excludes all liability for any loss, damage, or consequences arising from the use of Virtual ARC General Assessor+. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits users' rights under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Use of AI models and third-party governance: Virtual ARC General Assessor+ uses large language models (LLMs) via Base44. LLM selection is automatic, with options including Claude Sonnet 4.5, Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5, and Claude Opus 4.5. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of Virtual ARC General Assessor+ complies with any applicable policies, including the ARC's Policy on Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the ARC's Grants Programs (2023). ResBench takes no responsibility for any non-compliance by users with ARC policies or other institutional and regulatory requirements.
User responsibility: While ResBench implements industry-standard security and privacy measures, users must not submit any commercially sensitive, confidential, or otherwise private information. ResBench disclaims any liability for loss or disclosure of such information.
ResBench is not registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST).
